“We have always felt that Gertrude B. Nielsen Child Care and Learning Center was a safe, loving, and nurturing place for our children to grow and learn, and the pandemic has not changed that at all. The strict protocols, thorough cleaning, and dedication to the children’s safety made us feel confident sending our son back to school, without standing in the way of the warmth and compassion that is fundamental to how the Center operates. We are so grateful to GBN for creating an environment where our son can be just as happy and safe at school as he was before COVID-19.”

“Making the decision to have our girls return to GBN during COVID was one of the hardest we’ve faced yet as parents as we realized what it meant in terms of potential risk and exposure for our family. However, we decided if anyone was going to get this right, it would be the team at GBN and took the leap to have them return. This experience since the moment we pulled into the parking lot on our first day back, has been incredible.
Even behind masks and PPE, and with distance in place — this team doesn’t miss an opportunity to interact with parents and children just as they would have pre-COVID and every ounce of warmth and care they all possess is still as obvious as ever.
Every detail has been covered from the efficient process of dropoff and pickup to the safety policies and procedures implemented in order to prevent COVID from walking in the doors and also including new means of communicating details of their day since parents aren’t inside the building to see firsthand.
I believe everything possible has been executed in order to make it as safe as it can be during these uncertain times while not compromising the atmosphere and experiences for our children. The success of these efforts is so obvious to us — as we can see our girls thriving and happy which is always important but especially important right now.
