Welcome to the Gertrude B. Nielsen Child Care and Learning Center. What an honor it is to be a part of such an established and highly acclaimed child care center. Providing the highest quality of care for children is our main priority.  Children between six weeks to six years old, develop the foundation for the love of learning that they will carry with them throughout their lives.

From the moment you enter, you understand our mission of parent partnership and the vision of a “home away from home.” Just as each child is unique and special, so is every family. We therefore work hard to establish strong positive relationships with each parent and grandparent. 

Throughout my years of study, I learned about the characteristics of excellent early childhood education. It was not until I started working at the Nielsen Center in 2008 that I observed those characteristics in practice. The focus of the center is children and facilitating their learning through discovery, which is the best way for young children to learn and grow!  My love for the arts and commitment to providing sensory experiences to help children build a foundation for learning is my passion.
